  1. I know with the AANP cranial nerves had the number beside of them and not the Roman numeral. For the ANCC do they use just the Roman numeral or a number and then the name of the cranial nerve? Sorry! Test anxiety here!
  2. Hello All, I was just wondering if there were any job opportunities in the Charleston area that I may have not heard about. I applied at CAMC and have an interview April the 10th, but I would love to work at Thomas Hospital, for their externship program. I filled out an Application, but I feel I must have been too late because the lady called me once and I tried to call her back and left various messages, but I never got a hold of her and she never called me back. I can't imagine why she did not call me back. I have a very solid resume, and have had past work experience in a health care setting. My references would all be positive and I am a really hard worker. Oh well. Any other job ideas? Or does anyone know if Thomas is finished hiring their externs? Thanks everyone ahead of time for your help!!! Have a great day! Sarah
  3. Does anyone know if Thomas is still hiring for Nurse Externs? I filled out an app but have not received a call back. I would absolutely love to work there because I have heard such great things about it. Hopefully, just maybe, they will call. =)
  4. Mosbys PDQ for the RN. Its so small it fits in your pocket.
  5. How much did thomas pay you for being a nurse extern? thanks!
  6. They have definately improved then. When I was looking for a school a couple of years ago I checked out Glenville and they only had a 75% rate! YIKES! LOL. Glad they improved.
  7. Glenville doesn't have a very high rate of their RN'S passing boards.
  8. Hey guys! I had a quick question about working as a nursing student extern. I am currently in West Liberty's Nursing Program in Wheeling, WV. I am originally from Ripley, WV. In the summer or on my month long break in December, I would like to get a job working at one of the hospitals in Charleston. Do any of you know how much these jobs pay, and how hard they are to get? Where did you all work while going to nursing school? Thanks so much!!!! Sarah
  9. My program is the same, but I feel nursing is a self-learning process and it is is more helpful if you teach your self. If you are a nurse you are going to have to be critically thinking 24-7. When you are self-taught this helps critically thinking come more easy.
  10. Hello Dave! I am also from Ripley. I attend Nursing school at west liberty university near wheeling, wv. It is pretty easy to get into, but they only over a BSN. I have also heard Glenville is easy to get into as well. University of Charleston has a nursing program but it is so expensive to go to school there.
  11. My nursing instructor told us once, about how a girl went to give an enema, and gave it to the man in his MOUTH!!! How can you be so stupid?!?!?! Most even have a picture of a butt on them! :uhoh21: Luckily, it did not hurt them man, but can you imagine!??! I promise not all of my generation lack intelligence. I cannot stand when people are rude with their cell phones. I am in the library as we speak, and there are people on their phones. How rude is that? It is supposed to be QUIET in here. Hang in there!!!
