My school WVU-P requires hair above the collar. I just cut off a 7 y.o. ponytail to get in. Also not to be a wiseass but America is not a Democratic Nation, She is a Federalist Government I beleive.

Absolutely, My Daddy would come out of the grave and kick my ass if I didnt. Its just the right thing to do. I do get some strange and bewildered looks from some females esp. the younger ones whose boyfriends,etc. dont have a clue how you treat a woman.

It most definitely is NOT a consideration at WVU Parkersburg Campus. Our class (1st semester) is comprised of 40 students,11 of which are male. Thats over 25 %, not too bad. It is a very competitive program to get in.Well worth the effort though as they pass approx 98-99% on the NCLEX.

I was laid off at Century Aluminum in Ravenswood and I've decided to go to Nursing School. I've been enrolled at WVU-P in Ripley since the summer term.I've completed ALGEBRA,SOCIOLOGY,ENGLISH COMPOSITION, and I'm currently enrolled in PSYCHOLOGY,ENGLISH COMPOSITION 2,CHEMISTRY, and INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE. All my grades have been A's except ALGEBRA which was a C. All my current grades are A's also. I took the ACT 2 weeks ago but I haven't seen my scores yet and I'm scheduled to take the HESI on 10-12-09. Now , I've gotten that out of the way, can anyone tell me a Nursing Program that I can be accepted into as quickly as possible ? The reason for a quick acceptance is I'm on unemployment and it's important that I get in ASAP in order to have time and funding to finish the program before getting booted off unemployment. I realize all programs are tough to get into. I just thought possibly someone may know of an area with a school where the acceptance rate may be higher than in other areas. I know in this area of jackson county it seems everyone and his brother along with their aunt lil is wanting into the WVU-P program. If you know of any place like this that has a good program with a decent acceptance rate please let me know. thank you very much, Dave.
