So, I heard from a friend, that her friend (yes a friend of a friend) has all of her books and tuition paid for through a travel nurse agency. I thought she said the name of the place was worksource, but the only thing I come up with when I look for it online is for a temp agency. She said that this orginization is a travel nurse agency, and that you apply for this program where they pay for EVERYTHING, and all you have to do is sign a contract saying that you will take your NCLEX within three months of graduation, and then interview with them for a job. But, you don't have to take the job! This all sounds way too good to be true. Has anyone else ever heard of this? I'm trying to find anything to help me pay for school. I make too much money (or at least the government thinks I do) to be eligible for grants, and I don't think I'm going to qualify for that much in student loans. Please help!!!

Maybe it was workforce? I've heard of the state workforce commission having different programs if you are out of work that will help pay for school.

There a thread for traveler's on this site...I'd go there and ask....I asked them a week or so how much experience as an RN you had to have before most companies would even talk to you and was told at least 2 years...so it sounds strange that they'd be paying tuition that far out...and I'd be worried about signing any contracts that stated you'd work for them AFTER the two years of experience because that's a long time that could involve a lot of life changes!! Good luck!!

well, I was told that the only thing you have to do for them, is promise to interview with them once you graduate....I agree that it sounds fishy, and I've searched the internet over and over again for something about it, and I can't find a thing!
I'm just trying to find any way possible to pay for school, because I'd like to take out as little as possible in student loans.

Again, check with the travelers on their thread to see what they know...
I'm not taking out any student loans this time around (I already have a bachelor's in business) as I'm going to the community college and paying as I go....I'll continue on for my BSN once I'm graduated with my RN and the hospital can pay for it!!
