I haven't seen any threads about the 2019-2020 applicants, so I figured I'd start one! Has anyone been contacted by the SoN about their possible acceptance?

Did you obtain your LPN here in Wa state? I’m currently looking into all kinds of alternatives if it doesn’t work out for me...
Hi Meuschki,
I actually got my LPN through the Army in Texas. Definitely a different experience than others, however if you are interested in pursuing your options, might I suggest an ADN if PLU doesn't pan out this cycle. If you want to apply to Pierce College Associate Degree in Nursing program they have a lot of cool things I'll name in bullet form:
*Not a lottery system like TCC
*Only $12,000
*Requires a lot of the same prerequisites you already have
*There are far more ADN to BSN programs in this state than LPN to BSN programs
*Application deadline is May 20th
Maxx, thanks ? I am definitely considering, but BSN is still the ultimate goal, especially since I have a daughter to put through college at the same time. I have heard that getting into Pierce might be as hard as getting into the BSN for PLU? I do regret now that I have never transferred any of my education I obtained in Germany. Either way, I am still full of hope. We got this?!
Hey guys!
So Meuschki and I went to the information session today to see if they'd give any information that we didn't already know. Spoiler alert: they don't tell you much. However, they did say that having experience in the medical field doesn't really make you more competitive, which is sort of weird. They honestly made it seem like as long as you meet the minimum requirements, everyone has a fair shot.. They said having a DTA was important, not because it makes you more competitive, but because you wouldn't have to take like 5 extra classes that a person without a DTA would. Lastly, they made it seem like having amazing essays is the most important of everything because not only does it showcase who you are, but everyone (nearly all nursing faculty and the dean) reviews it.
Not sure how to feel about it all, but considering how random their selection process seems to be.. we'll all just have to be patient and wait for our letters. May the odds be ever in your favor!
PS if you didn't apply before priority (feb 1st), you've got like a 99% chance of being waitlisted
