Nursing Students School Programs

I haven't seen any threads about the 2019-2020 applicants, so I figured I'd start one! Has anyone been contacted by the SoN about their possible acceptance?

Hi Littleluna,

no I haven't heard anything yet...:( I turned my application in right before the priority deadline and I am wondering if they are reviewing those in order when they were received. Either way, I am praying we will hear soon!

I wrote SoN yesterday, and they emailed back today saying that acceptance and denial letters will start going out today. However, I did a FB search of PLU nursing posts and some people have already gotten acceptance emails. My friend submitted her application last year by the priority deadline and didn't hear that she was accepted until mid-June while my other friend was notified in April of her acceptance. They turned it in at the same time.

Hi all!

I also submitted my application before the priority deadline and I still haven’t heard back yet. I hope we hear back sooner than later. The wait is killing me

Today?! Oh gosh okay! Yeah, I checked facebook, twitter, and instagram too (went full on stalker mode lol) for "plu nursing" and "plu nurse", and I only saw one person who got accepted and it was back in the beginning of april! I submitted before the feb 1st deadline and reallllyyy don't wanna wait until the end of june, so I hope they do start sending them out ASAP!

Same here, I am a ball of nerves. Who of you is a transfer student? And did anyone of you apply for the Provost scholarship? I am also really wondering what the criteria are to be a a strong applicant.

I’m a transfer student. I did my associates at Highline College. I am really crossing my fingers for PLU.

I'm a transfer student and got the provost scholarship. But somebody who went to the PLU nursing info session told me they only accept people with their DTA? Anybody know if that's true?

Littleluna,

congrats on the Provost, I think that's an accomplishment already! I am also a transfer students and although I have all my prereqs and most coreqs done, I am not completely finished with my DTA. I currently have a 4.0 in pre and coreqs. I do have an active CNA license, but I am a full time student as of right now. I cross my fingers for all of us:)

Oh yes hello Meuschki, complete stranger who I have never met, we have the exact same gpa, scholarship, and licensing! What a coincidence!;)

Quite a coincidence I'd say ? . Let's hope the wait is over and we might know more soon.

I'm curious about everyone's application!

I have a 4.0, all the required classes (no DTA), and received good recommendations from my favorite profs. The bad side to my app were my horrible essays because I'm not a very good writer! So I'm just hoping they aren't too nitpicky when it comes to them.

Also, if any of you guys know people who already got accepted, tell them to come on in to this thread and give us all the deets about their application so we can stop losing our minds about what a good/competitive applicant looks like lol
