Anyone applying for the Fall 2014 and/or Spring 2015 PLU BSN program? I'm putting my finishing touches on my application this week, and I'm very nervous. Love to exchange advice, encouragement, anxiety, and profiles with other applicants. :)

I will be completing my DTA in Spring at Tacoma Community College and currently have a 3.9 cumulative GPA and 4.0 in prereqs. Unfortunately, I do have a messy past from my first time attending a different college that is definitely coming back to haunt me at this point. Sigh. A family friend tried to ease my concerns by saying that PLU takes a holistic approach in considering applicants and they are most interested in the student you are now. *fingerscrossed* *deepbreaths*

Good luck to everyone! :)

Happy early birthday Sierra :)

I'm actually all set to start CPTC in the fall, would just MUCH rather go to PLU. I will apply to TCC for the fall too if I don't get in to PLU.

Happy early birthday!

I finish the LPN course at Bates Technical College in August, my back up plan if I don't get in is to apply at TCC, LCC, or Pierce..really any college that as a bridge program...but keeping my fingers crossed that all of use get in!!!

Thank you everyone!

Wait, so alliyc are you going to have an LPN and go through the entire BSN program? or did you apply for the LPN-BSN?

Sieairbear,

I applied to the LPN-BSN program. Not to even think this, but if you don't in Bates LPN program is awesome! Super intense but you learn so much. They have really great instructors.

No thats good to hear! PLU is a double edged sword, one of the best programs but the cost is scary. Im trying to stay positive with this going either way (get into plu or save money). I was actually accepted for Bates LPN program March 2014, but I turned it down to try for PLU :). If all falls through I just have to call Jason and get a slot for this fall or next spring. When should you be hearing from PLU for the LPN-BSN at the latest?

They told me I'll be notified by June the same date as everyone else.

Just got my rejection letter-- bummer, but I'm glad I've already been accepted to another program for fall, even though it wasn't my first choice! Good luck to everyone else.

Im so sorry to hear that Lexie :( at least you have a backup already in place, and think of all the money you'll save! Btw when did you apply to CPTC? Im applying on jul 1st when it opens back up for LPN but dont think that will apply for fall. It would be fun if we were in the same class :)

I have to retake Chem 121 in the Fall to apply to ADN programs. After that I'll apply to UW Seattle, TCC, and maybe a LPN program. I'm trying not to do a LPN program because I have a job at the hospital and if I got a LPN license, I wouldn't be able to work as a CNA while trying to get my RN. My work will give me an RN job after I pass the NCLEX so I'm trying to keep the position I have!!!

My friend who applied after the deadline (I think 2 months after) got her acceptance letter for fall. I'm kind of upset because I wish they would go cohesively according to who applied first as far as letting them know yes or no...

I called as well they said end of June.. So I guess I have to be patient but it's hard not to get discouraged!

Yeah that is a little disappointing for people who applied well before the deadline and are still waiting, versus someone who applied after. I read somewhere that if you apply to PLU after the deadline its a first come, first serve basis, but I guess not! Anyone here taken the ATI Teas V exam? I'm going to buy the study guide tonight and take the exam end of June for TCC and Highline, just wondering if anyone had any pointers!?

Has anyone received notification in June?
