PACE CDP 2014 Admissions

Hi everyone!

I have been following past threads on PACE CDP 2010- 2013. I will be applying to the program for Spring 2014. I wanted to start this thread for everyone who will be applying for this upcoming cycle!

I would love for us to share our experiences as we commence our application process/ support group ( >___

For those who are already in the program, I would truly appreciate if you guys can share your experiences and credentials.

A little background on me:

I have a Psychology B.S. with an undergrad GPA of 3.8. I have been working as a paralegal at a law firm for the last two years and after doing a good amount of soul searching and re evaluating what I want to do in life and where I'm now, I know for a fact I want to become a nurse and eventually a NP. I have so much appreciation for the unsung heroes in the hospitals, clinics, and other practices. Thus, I will do whatever I can and work as hard as I can to become one.

I will be completing my remaing pre- reqs by this summer: A&P1 and 2, and Microbiology.

Yes let's start a facebook page. I'm unsure of how to go about this since we can't mention names on this forum or at least I don't think we can. Should we make a page for Pace CDP SPRING 2014 and add ourselves to the group?

I just tried to create a facebook group, but it wont allow me to make one because it requires you to add members right away prior to creating the group. Is there any way to share your name and then delete it on facebook? I'm trying to think of other ways around this.

I just created a group ' Pace CDP spring 2014'.Added my wife to the group for a start ( she is a nurse pract student @ Pace )

No,I have made it a closed group but still you could find it when you search for PACE CDP SPRING 2014. Ok I have made the group public for some time.Please try and search for it now.Thanks.

I still can't find the group and I'm pretty facebook savvy. I will keep searching but I'm unsure how else I can find it.

I was wondering if any one had an idea of when we will receive decisions by. I have not been asked for an interview and was wondering if there was anyone in my position who has received a decision. All I've been told (when I call) is that my application has been in committee review for the past 5 weeks. If anyone has ANY information please let me know!

Hi,

I believe the last set of interviews were given on the 4th of November. I was actually extremely excited to be chosen to interview but, I was put on a waiting list which means if I don't get bumped up to this class in spring 2014 I will be accepted into the fall 2014 class in NYC.

Thanks Nia174. Congrats on getting an interview and I hope you get in this spring!... I'm assuming that since I have not been asked for an interview nor been put on the wait list that I am not getting in. I'm just a little confused on why they would wait so long just to tell me I haven't been accepted. Whats taking them so long?!
