Pace ABSN program starting 2013

U.S.A. New York

Published

I know it's early, but is anyone else looking at Pace's ABSN program to start in 2013? I'm 90% finished with my prerequisites and just getting the pieces together to start the application process!

Still haven't heard anything yet :(

OK, for people like me who are still waiting for a decision let me inform you that I spoke today directly with an admissions counselor and she told me that the next round of decisions will be sent this friday or Monday the latest! (I will go with Friday at 4:30 just because that's the time and day the other group got their decisions). Let's be patient (very hard, I know)...

Friday makes sense because that's when the deposit had to be in according to the Acceptance email. Good luck everyone!

Hi Sunshine&Mischief,

I was accepted into the one year CDP program and am interested in the resources you offered to help incoming students. Anything I can do to prepare before school starts would be great! Since I am new to this site I am not sure how the private messaging works, so if you would be able to send me the information I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks so much for you help!!

Did anybody hear anything?

Nothing for me as yet

Mairayhans,

Your on the boards for NYU ABSN fall 2013 as well correct? Did you hear anything back from them? I am still waiting. I also applied to Pace and havent heard anything from them either. Does Pace inform via email or via letters in the mail?

Hi mgolikov,

I am on the boards for NYU as well. I am still waiting for a decision from both schools. I think both schools send notifications via email first and then you get a package on the mail with additional info. Good luck too you! Hopefully both can get in. Which school is your prefered one? Can you share your stats? You can PM me if you prefer. Best!

Well I just called, and was told that because the applications are under committee review it would take a couple of WEEKS. Ugh...

Mairayhans,

Goodluck to you as well.. I have graduated from UCSD with a 3.2 undergrad gpa with a Psychology Degree. I Have volunteered at numerous places including home of the aging, hospitals, and clinics. My prereq gpa is a 3.6. I have work experience as a substance abuse counselor working directly with the head Registered Nurse. How about you? I am nervous I didn't hear back from NYU or PACE yet. I got accepted to Barnes College in St Louis missiouri, but for Fall 2014. I heard some people actually emailed NYU and then received a notification within a few days. Do you think we should do that?

Well I just got accepted into my first choice. Good luck to those who are still waiting I wish you all the best!

Hi mgolikov,

Well, I graduated on 2008 from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) with a Biology degree. My undergrad GPA is 3.1 and the reason for it being that low is that I am an international student who came to the States with full athletic scholarship (volleyball); my first language is Spanish and the first years in college were very challenging in terms of the language and adapting to this new country. My prereq GPA is 3.9 though. Well, after graduating I found a job at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in NYC as a laboratory Technician and I've been working here for 5 years already. I have volunteered as a nurse aide outside the hospital in a free clinic and I have also volunteered in the Ambulatory Surgery Department at HSS. I applied to Beth Israel last Year for the fall 2012 and got accepted but had to decline my offer because I realized (too late though) that hospitals with magnet status like HSS, NYP, among others are not accepting ADNs anymore and the best route for me was getting my BSN from a well recognized school. I am still waiting for NYU and Pace decisions and really hope I can start my nursing education this year ... I would love to email NYU but I dont even know who to write to. I am so paranoic that I had a dream (nightmare) yesterday that I was rejected by one school but sort of given admission to the other lol... who knows. The only thing I do know is that if I get rejected from both schools this year, I will reapply until they give up and accept me lol. Best of luck to everybody!!!
