Hi there:
- I just graduated from RN school (Excelsior College) and sent my paperwork in to the PA Board of Nursing. Excelsior College also sent in official transcripts and the Verification of Education Form (required by PA BON).
- Two questions:
- First, how long does it take the PA BON to get your authorization to test letter?
- Second, is there a phone number, website, or some such means of verifying your application status?
Thanks ....
(PA BON = Pennsylvania Board of Nursing)

I think it was about 2 or 3 weeks after everything was sent off. You can call the BON main number and ask if they have received your paperwork, but besides yes/no they won't give any more information.
Also the ATT comes by email, just make sure you check daily and don't accidentally delete it!
- Thanks for the information.
- I sent my RN application packet in on Monday: 5/3/2010.
- Would be nice to get this NCLEX-RN thing out of the way before Memorial Day.

Even if you do get your ATT shortly, your test date depends on the availability of the centers close to you. Theres a possibility that you may be able to test before Memorial Day, but i wouldn't count on it. I remember trying to schedule mine and closest date was 1.5 months out.
Good luck with yours!

I received my ATT to test 20 days after graduation.
