I just started work on an ICU unit and my unit educator was me to research P/O Obst. Cath. I have looked online, in my med surg book and I can not find anything, I need causes, s/s and treatment. If anyone would mind helping me I would very much apperciate it!!!
Thanks!

Okay - I gotta ask: I'm not familiar with these abbreviations - what are you asking about?

New one on me too! Little more info with less abbreviation as we are guessing
These are the abbrevations on my paper that was given to me. But Im thinking post op obstructed cath. I'm gonna see the educator tomorrow so I'm gonna verify.
And then my next question would be: why in the heck with all the "you can't use abbreviations for ANYTHING" would your instructor post such a thing? School should be teaching absolutely no abbreviations because that's how its suposed to be.
And...what kind of cath? Foley catheter, IV catheter, Permcath???
