Hello,

I am a RN from CA. Ive been an ER nurse 4 years. I am currently getting my BSN and am thinking of traveling overseas at some point to travel nurse. I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies and locations where I can travel nurse overseas and still use my USA license. Is there potential hiring of civilians at USA military bases overseas? private US companies? and what is the process like? Any feedback or help would be much appreciated.

My experience has been that I cannot practice independently overseas, but have to with a national partner. However, some countries allow that I think. This article, Working Abroad as a Nurse might be helpful.

You have to have in some countries.

Good luck!

You have to have malpractice insurance in some countries.

Good luck!

I checked out the article and it is from 2004, not sure how much has changed over the years as far as staffing needs abroad.
