I work 11-7:30. The major duty I have is rounds at midnight, 2 am, and 4 am. On rounds, we change incontient residents and reposition residents who need it. Other than that, we pass supplies (glove, briefs, towel/washclothes, etc.) and answer call lights as needed. We also get some of the residents up and dressed between 6am and 7:30. Most nights, I have a fair amount of down time that I use to study.

I work 7p to 7:30a on a Med-Surg unit. We are hopping all night... We do vital signs, glucose, I/O measuring, changing patients and their linens, assisting patients to bedside commode, repositioning patients, bed baths, personal grooming, deal with vomiting, restock supplies, charting, pick up and drop off deliveries related to pharmacy and/or lab, etc.
