OU ABSN Interviews for May 2011 Cohort

Hi guys! Interviews started today for the May 2011 cohort, and I think I was one of the first few to interview. I know we can't talk about specific questions that were asked during the interview, but I just wanted to see if anyone would like to share their reactions/experience here.

I personally felt pretty good, I did get one "I love your answer!" so that made me feel a little more secure:D since I felt like I stumbled on this one other question. I did feel a little rushed since they told me the interview would be super short right in the beginning (did anyone else feel that way?) I didn't get a clear answer on where we will be having clinicals/classes though....

I'm sure it will be another month after interviews end until we all get mailed acceptance letters.

Any thoughts you would like to share?.....

I interviewed at 1:45 I think....I am sure you will all get your letters tomorrow :)

I was told also that I would hear at the end of August by regular mail about May 2011 start date. Good luck to all.

Dear ADAMSMAMI,

Don't you know have to take the three nursing courses? I thought we could not take them until our final acceptance.

I have taken them already and received 4.0 in them trying to be proactive in case of a spot opening up in an earlier cohort and you can take them before acceptance as long as you had the prereqs done but yes it is a conditional acceptance based on completion of that and your background check.

That was very clever of you. I did not think to ask if I could take the courses before acceptance. Perhaps you will be able

to start next month if there is an open spot.

Thanks but I doubt it since most nursing programs you have to be CPR certified and I haven't done that yet but I am hoping a spot will open for winter! Good Luck to you hope you hear today!

Nothing for me today! Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!! I really hope to hear Monday because I am not feeling very productive right now!

I feel so nervous! I can actually feel the knot in the pit of my stomach. Ugh....although, I have to say that I am glad I am not the only one who hasn't heard yet (on here - haha). I really hope the letter comes on Monday. If not, I will lose my mind.

This is crazy. My husband just checked the mail again. I got my letter, and I got in for May 2011. Wishing you all the very best!!! My heart is pumping and my palms are sweaty. So crazy.
