OSU-OKC Fall 20

U.S.A. Oklahoma

Published

I was just wondering if anyone was applying for Osu Okc nursing program for the fall of this year. I know its a lot of stuff going on right now with Covid-19 and schools closing and wondering if that's going to affect nursing programs going forward.

I applied and yes they waived the HESI and will not be opening up the campus for us to test. They will be going off of the points we currently have .

They already have almost 200 applicants with another month to go. Last semester they only had 160. ?

The most you can apply without the HESI is 85points? If everyone applys with that score it will bring the average way down? This might be a good thing? Or I don’t know what to think of this?

I feel your pain. From what I understand, they look at your overall GPA and Science GPA too.

I know last fall people got in with 81 points, but every semester is different. I’ll be here holding my breath.

No I didn’t! ? But I'm staying positive.... Have you spoken with an advisor to see what they are saying about it?

I’m hoping for a low cut off point :( for us that didn’t get to take the HESI

How many points are you guys applying with?

I don't know how many points I have in total until I take my HESI test. Hopefully all of this won't make it harder to have nursing school as far as clinicals

Yeah they said they were playing by ear for the fall. As of right this sec there will be no clinicals, and they are trying to figure out how to do labs. Maybe 5 students at a time .

Why don't you call Gaytra and have her help you figure out your points? She's super nice.

I called Gaytra, she can't really say an exact number which I totally understand. Last week she told me there were 140 applicants, but I'm sure that's gone up since then. Maybe they are taking more students if its all going to be online. I guess I could ask her that. Either way my points are not great, but they are much better than OCCC.
