Hello all! I hope to start this thread as the official Q&A for the applicants of the Ohio State Graduate Entry Masters of Nursing/Nurse Practitioner Program Summer 2018 enrollment! I am in the works of applying, getting my last letter of rec together and studying for the GRE. I'm so excited!! How about you??
Are you guys applying to any other schools? Where does OSU rank for you if so? Do you have any concerns about the program from what you've heard? I don't live nearby so I don't get any word of mouth about OSU or its nursing program :)
OSU is my first choice and it has a really great program. Plus its US News Ranking is #5 for MSN and DNP; so I don't think you will be disappointed by the program. Everyone that I have talked to about it feels like its a great program and they have the stats to back it up.
I finished my interview Monday. I feel ok about it. I was prepared for the first question, but I had prepared a two minute answer so I had to cut it way down. But the others I answered too fast and talked too fast and ended up with a minute left, so I think I got super repetitive trying to use a little more of the time. I definitely feel like I was rambling.

I applied to case western reserve university in Cleveland also! I like they're program because they don't make you choose your specialty right away and they also give you the opportunity to specialize in acute care so that's cool! But it's double the price of OSU sadly
I will also be applying to the Capital Accelerated BSN program. However, with the clinical experience required in the neonatal specialty, this program is much better for me.

Unfortunately, I did not apply to any other schools. I did my undergraduate at Ohio State and thought it was a great experience. A few of my classmates entered the graduate entry NP program and they have all said positive things.
I went to Ohio State for my undergrad and it's the only program I applied to. I've heard wonderful things about it from a student currently in the program, as well as an NP that had a grad entry OSU preceptor for her NP schooling. Are any of you already semi in the medical field? I'm a dental hygienist currently.

I currently work in radiology, computed tomography to be exact! Will you be quitting your career to go back to school if accepted? This waiting game is rough!
