Orientation tomorrow!

Specializes in Critical Care, Trauma.

I feel like a little kid on Christmas eve! :) Tomorrow is orientation for my ADN program. I'm so incredibly excited that I can't even accurately describe it. Classes start on Monday and this term I'll be taking:

  • Nursing Fundamentals I
  • Medical Terminology
  • Introduction to Pharmacology

I have stalked this website for so long while completing my prerequisites that I feel like I owe you all a big "thanks." Thank you all so much! For the advice, for sharing your own experiences, and helping to brainstorm ideas. There are many of us who've been on this board for awhile and I feel so happy when I see others accomplishing their goals.

Yay!

So exciting!!! I'm so proud of you!

Ahhh so jealous! I'm waiting on my acceptance letter right now and I am going absolutely insane. It's one of those things where I know I'm being ridiculous, I just can't help it :). Congrats!!

It was a moment of "oh my gosh, I can do this" mixed with "oh my gosh this going to be so much work what did I do to myself?". I'm still really excited and relieved that classes are 4 days a week in the morning.

My cohort has 24 people in it and this will be the same 24 people I'll be attending classes and clinicals with for the next 2 years.

Do you guys have clinicals the first semester?

Not the first, but we do in the second semester. I won't know for sure until I've had class, but sim lab looks incredibly dull the first two terms. We don't get to vital signs until second term, which as a CNA already has me rolling my eyes. I guess I shouldn't be complaining, it'll all be new and scary before I know it. :)

Congrats! That's so exciting!
