Vocabulary?? I just used flash cards....each time I would get about 5 out, learn those really well, get 5 more out, learn those really well, add them to the first 5, go back through those 10 and set aside any I didn't know immediately to study some more....repeat, repeat, repeat.
eta: how do you eat an elephant?? one bite at a time :)
that's also how you learn the overwhelming amount of material you have before you....

I did the exact same. Flash cards, and learned little by little. But lately I take my cards with me everywhere. While I am driving, while I am getting ready, while I am eating. Thats what I have found to be the best, and as well, don't just learn "one side" of the card and no the oppisite sides answer. Make sure you can identify them by both ways- either the word or definition. That helped me too. Good luck, and don't feel too overwhelmed! You'll make it. Just take it one day at a time....:) :)

I went and bought my 300 pg. syllabus yesterday...and it's massive...the work, the terms, the assignments, the exams, skills we have to learn...I was a little overwhelmed by reading it all. I was wondering how do you organize all of these terms that have to be learned. For example, in the lecture portion of my course we are expected to learn and know 75 or more words a week, we have to learn even more terms in the clinical section, lab, and sometimes tutorial. Is this where the flashcards come into play? I was thinking of just typing the words ahead of time, leaving a few lines to fill in as I go along in my reading and studying. I would then 3 hole punch the sheets and put it in my weekly binder. How did/do you plan on organizing these tons and tons of terms?
