Hello!
I just took my CNA test, and I'll know in a couple of days if I passed.
One of my skills was Ambulation of a client using a gait belt.
I was so focused on making sure I had an underhand grasp on the gait belt, I can't remember if I did this part of the skill:
"stabilize the client with other hand by holding forearm, shoulder, or using other appropriate method to stabilize client."
I know I had both hands on her, but the second hand might have just been under the gait belt as well!
I'm not sure if this is a Key Step, but if it is and I did miss it it's an automatic fail :'(
Does anyone know if this is a key step in Oregon?

Hi mags. I passed my OR boards 2 weeks ago and no, what you are asking is not a step in bold. So you should be fine. Also my Pearson vue skills sheet says: walks slightly behind and to one side of client for a distance of 10 ft while holding onto belt.
Hope this helps!
I passed both the skill and exam!
I got a 100% on the skill in question LOL
