hello. im a new board passer and i found out that there will be an opthalmic support staff program.it's a two day program.do you think it will be wise if i apply for it?

I don't know if you'd be wise to do this, or most anything. What do YOU think? Are you interested in it? Do you need a way to get a job, and this sounds good? Do you have job opportunities in this area and this will help you get them?

i dont have a job nor experience.and the speakers for this training are from up ust veterans and other big hospitals in the country.y do you think its not a good choice?

These kind of questions would probably be answered more usefully for YOU by someone who knows you

It's probably not in your best interest to get information about a career choice from strangers.... If it's something you're interested in, maybe see a career counselor at a community college, and go through the information with them.

yes ma'am it really is..i really want to have a training or a specialization so that i can work immediately..i think this would be a great opportunity for me since the program is only held every 3 years.im asking advice to others to help me decide :) thank you though for you're answer :)

they offer advance courses such as glaucoma surgery cataract surgery pediatric opthalmology and strabismus courses,refractive surgery course and retina module.what do you think about the courses?

Usually one only specializes after one has worked in an area for a few years and has proven to be more than competent in an area and has the skills needed in that area. Generally, it takes at least a year, sometimes more depending on the specialty organizations.
