Opps, here is the horrible nursing Error

Published

Okay, I deleted the other thread, Barb! :)

After reading the article, Barb, I like to think that a nurse with your experience wouldn't have ignored such very severe ongoing pain. Did they think that maybe she was in drug withdrawal, or trying to get narcotics by faking it?

Hard to know the full story on these news articles.

There is something very wrong if they feel that leaving the halfway house....even by ambulance for an emergency..is a violation of her parole.

WTF.....even though she is an inmate, she deserves to be treated like a human!

That's just sick.

I agree, Iliel! :o

First of all it was not me. I am glad I have the sense to do a cbc.

This was in yesterday's papers and on all local news.

She was in custody for a 60 day sentence. this happened in her forth of 12 weeks and they let her go to the half way house at about week 8. I got it from tv, the time table.

She was 6 weeks pregnant when she complained of pain. The nuse in corrections never did an exam. Decided it was VD and Constipation and gave MOM. Period.

I am not in corrections nursing, I am in Forensics.

Yes I know it was not you. I said that because you said "There, but for the grace of God".... What I meant was, had you been that nurse, I think you would have made a better diagnosis!

That is absolutely sickening! :o :(

I think I was thinking with God's Grace that no one would leave me anywhere in pain.

A good friend of mine nearly died with a misdiagnosed tubal pregnancy. After the doc. knocked her out with a hefty dose of narcotics, it ruptured, and she nearly bled to death. :o

That is terrible...

nice to know the price of "reproductive organs" on the street. I could sell mine for $100,000 if this case holds true.

sick, just sick
