Opinions??

Would you consider an 86% good on a anatomy test it was on the brain and cns and pns. I was shooting for a 90% at least :( I have one last test on the endocrine system and ANS wish me luck.

For one school, one program, an 86% might be great. For another one, you'd hope it was your lowest grade. Depends on the competitiveness of the program you are trying to get into. I have a nephew for whom a grade of 86% would be great, because that's where his abilities max out. For another, receiving an 86% tells me he just didn't put in any effort, he could do much better.

Regardless of where you fit on this spectrum, do your VERY best for EVERY test, and the chips will always fall where they may :)

Good luck to you!

Unless your school is different, they don't usually look at individual tests, but rather the whole class grade. First of all, 86% is pretty good. However, it would bother me a little, too, so I get where you are coming from.

Good luck on your next test! Have you noticed any patterns to the way your instructor writes tests? That may help in preparing for this next one.

My school doesn't look at your tests thank god they don't that'll be very awful . My school goes based off your final grade for that class. The minimum requirement is to pass with a C.

It's not my instructor at all I would say it's me I work 2 jobs overnight 5 classes and one being my cna class that I'm trying to focus more on as well . So I do have a load on me .

Yeah I think an 86% is really good! I know how you feel though I got an 89.5% on my last microbiology exam and it was so annoying lol. I think that as long as you keep up the high scores on your tests then your overall grade will be good.

Good luck!

Oh, ya, I totally understand. I didn't mean to imply there was anything wrong with the instructor. What I meant was instructors usually test in similar patterns between their tests. Like, for one course I am taking right now that I am struggling holding my A in, I have noticed that he likes to test over certain types of information. Noticing this has helped me figure out what things to focus more one bc he will likely test on it in future tests. This has helped me do better on test later in the semester.

Yes I would have to agree on that a lot of instructors like to do that but im so thankful for my instructor she gives us extra credits with a bunch of questions and it's exactly the same as the test along with matching vocabulary terms. I normally take flash cards and I found this very interesting site called quizlet where you can make your own quiz it is awesome you should try it .

I agree with the posts above and would add that in brain/neuro, it is going to be VITAL that you UNDERSTAND that material, regardless of the test score you get. My A&P professor said that nearly every medication we would ever give works on the nervous system, so you have to "get" this material almost more than knowing all the bones and muscles! This has proven to be true in my nursing career. Good luck to you!! :)

Yes I agree but my instructor material is very awesome she is the best she goes over the right things and anything that's going to be similar on the test along with extra credit. I have so much going on that I didn't put as much effort on this particular exam my overall grade is a B so by the time this semester over I will be at an A. I just wanted opinions on if any of you think that an 86% was good for a test because for my school grading scale that's a B.

WOW! you got an 86% while you maintain THAT schedule! That is awesome! All the more reason to not feel bad about that grade! ;)

Thank you I appreciate it and yes I'm trying hard really hard 😉

Any passing grade is a good grade, and the goal of doing better is a good goal. When I was in training, I did what I considered 'lousy' with the math parts of Pharmacology, but aced the final. My instructor said she didn't know I had it in me. I told her she was always teaching the math parts (fractions and the like) using percentages of pies, but I had trouble thinking in terms of wedges of a pie. I had to transpose that into dollars and cents before it made any sense to me!

I hope somewhere in all your busy schedule you are getting some decent sleep!
