haha. welcome to stress-ville! :lol2:
i took my last exam saturday and was able to register for the fcca the following monday (after receiving the e-mail). you should be able to register tomorrow (tuesday). well, you are ahead of me because i have not even made a doctor's appointment yet. i will as soon as i get this fcca out of the way first. this exam is confusing as you will see when you receive yours. i called ec today for guidance and all i got was "you should be able to do this on your own. it is a take home exam and everything is there. i cannot give you answers as you have to do this on your own" i am frustrated with this exam because it does not come with any study guide like all the nursing exams. just few lines of instructions on each sections and they expect you to understand it 100%. anyway, sorry for the vent as you will see what i am talking about when you receive yours.
in any case, i will send it back in 2 days as i am 75% done as of now. i just need to finish it up and bite the bullet. i want my cpne in july/august. i will consider late june as well. i am going to tina logan's workshop in first week of june. she confirmed my sit today. i think you are going there as well, right?
i'm sure we can win this battle with this cpne beast as long as we give our 100%.

can't wait to see you in pa!! that makes me feel good--we'll get it all, i know, but man, i feel like we're treading uncharted waters! ha! everyone keeps telling me the fcca is made harder by overthinking it, so i guess i'll see here in a couple of days. and my dr. appt just so happened to fall this week, i've been getting iron infusions b/c my ferritin level is in the toilet right now. so, i'm hoping my dr. today will sign, i don't know why he wouldn't. so, it's all coming together! wish i had all the info in my brain! we can do it!!!!!

You will both love Tina. :)
Jules, it's okay to hit the panic button right now -- there's so much "unknown" in front of you, so it's easy to panic. When you get to the CPNE, you will be totally prepared. Congrats on getting to this point!

thanks to both of you! i do feel a bit like a one man rendition of a bad 3 stooges episode right now, but my guide is printed and i gotta get a&p and micro out of the way too. deep breathing. just gotta remember to do that.

I thought you can't register for the FCCA until June. Did they change the registration dates?:)
as of right now, the computerized version is not up and running. until that happens, it will still be delivered on paper. when you get it, you have 10 days to complete it and send it back to them. much better than the 3 part/6 hour test that you should do in 3 separate sittings fighting with a computer! last time i called, they have pushed the "ready" date back to early summer--but i guess they've been doing this for a while now.
