Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)

Published

Hey everyone :)

So fall just flew in so I thought what a great time it would be to start my nursing applications lol. It is very early, but I enjoy having this on my mind. I am in my final year at University and am hoping to be a nursing student come next September. I wanted to make a space where we could come together with a common goal: getting accepted. The schools I plan to apply are:

Trent, Toronto, Humber, Western and Queens

Possibly considering RPN programs as well.

Congratulations! what was your GPA like and what was your major?

Hey everyone, I got accepted to the McMaster accelerated nursing program about a month ago. I was wondering if anyone knows about any info about the deposit fee's about internal applicants?. Is there any? (I called nursing office a month ago and they didnt seem to know either for internal applicants). also if there if anyone's made a nursing fb group for McMaster accelerated applicants. Thanks

Hello everyone,

I just got accepted to U of T via e-mail. I'm so happy because it's the only school that I applied to. I don't have a stellar GPA and I don't have research experience. I'm like the epitome of a mediocre university student. So to those who are still waiting, don't lose hope.

Yes, I did. I'm still waiting for my Join U of T status to change, and the package in the mail.

Congratulations! I have A/A+ on the pre requisites and work experience but still didn't hear anything from them, maybe because I do not have a completed degree yet :(

Congratulations!!!

Did you study physiology at your university or took some online course?

Thank you. I took Human Physiology courses at my university (UTSC). I graduated in 2016 and I took a year off from school after getting rejected from Master of Social Work program of U of T. So it's really a blessing that I got accepted to Nursing this year. I found where I really should be.

Hello,

I have not received an email back from mcmaster yet. i am wondering if those who got accepted got an email or only through mosaic? Thanks!

Hey! I have finally accepted my offer to the Western Compressed Nursing program. Anyone else in the same boat? I feel like I have a million questions so if theres anyone who has previously taken the program, please help haha.
