@sharpie16 my GPA for the last 10 full courses is 3.5, York's GPA calculator really confuses me so I have no idea what that would be on a 9 point scale. My first 2 years of university (I have completed my degree) were reallllly low so I am assuming that they look at your most recent 10 full course equivilents

Yeah I wasn't sure about the 9.0 scale either. Thanks for letting me know. I have a 3.56 so fingers crossed.
does anyone know anything about york's program? is york a good school? i've been reading really mixed reviews that its a horrible school but some say its amazing.... first time i heard that if you can hold a fork you and go to york. i know it clearly depends on what program youre in, but i feel so uncertain about it now! I also was reading so many mixed reviews about humber. I can't go out to see the schools for a while to make my own judgment, so if any of you guys can share any information or your opinions about the schools you would ease my stress a bit.
Hi!! I applied for York's Second Entry Program!, But what worries me are the pre-requisites. Has anyone noticed that the pre-requisite equivalancy sheet is outdated? I'm from Queen's and one of the courses on the sheet hasn't been offered for many years now. I took the one that is offered now and similar! But York refuses to discuss this and directs me to their outdated equivalency sheet...
Any insights??

hey,
I'm surprised that they refused to discuss this with you. I e-mailed them a week ago about the same issue (I go to U of T) and they got back to me within 2 days. I wish they wouldn't have that list up at all. Only my anatomy pre-req is actually listed there, but the department assured me that the courses (stats, microbiology and physiology) that I have taken meet the requirements and that the admissions committee will have a much more comprehensive list of courses that are acceptable from each school... If I had to guess, you're probably fine. I was getting nervous because my GPA is a lot higher than many of the acceptances going out and I still haven't heard anything, but apparently I have all the requirements so I'll just try to wait patiently...... haha
Hey everyone! Does anyone know if I accept an offer from Trent, can I still be accepted to other programs like U of T and western. I just don't want to lose my spot at Trent in case I don't get in anywhere else. Thanks :)
--> OUAC website says this is fine.
I accepted Western and declined York today - one more seat for York! Still waiting for Mac (the only start acceptances early April) - I'll only start to worry in the end of May/June. Seats open up all the time!
Q: What sorts of acceptance deposits are people paying?? Western was $0 (phew!)
To anyone who accepted their York offer:1) what is the conditional offer everyone is talking about? I don't have the package mailed in yet and I don't see it via email?
2) can I accept it on ouac and myfile for now and possibly decline the offer if I get accepted to UofT?
Thank you!!
It took about a week for me to receive my package in the mail after it was updated on my OUAC but it is conditional in that I must maintain my admission average and successfully complete 2 remaining prerequisite courses (it actually lists the courses from my school that I am enrolled it), it also states that I must maintain a 'B' average in my current courses.

York looks at your overall GPA and your GPA in your last 1 year's worth of credits.
