Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2015)

I know it's early, but let's get a thread going. 2015-hopefuls, share your thoughts, concerns, questions, and experiences here!

I applied to the McMaster PA program as well, it still says Pending, and my supp application still says "Initiated". So annoying how schools take FOREVER to make decisions sometimes. I do understand that they receive literally thousands of applications.....ugh!

alianne - my cGPA isn't that great: 3.2 (US transfer student so not all my credits count towards my GPA, which are unfortunately mostly grade boosting ones!), but my last 10 credit GPA is 3.52. I haven't received any emails.. so that's wonderful..

hi all,

i was accepted to humber around feb 14. i only applied there so i am very thankful to have been accepted! before i received my email acceptance they updated my humber account to say "conditional offer" instead of "no decision". i have no idea what my gpa is.... been out of school for a very long time:) when i called just prior to getting the acceptance i was told that they are reviewing applications on an ongoing basis.

best of luck to all waiting for decisions.

Nursingeg, thanks for letting us know. I've been updated MyHumber like a million times a day!

Trent doesnt look at cGPA so that doesnt matter. 3.52 is awesome that's around where I am - I believe I am a 3.57 if I did the calculations right- and I emailed her so dont worry she said " Offers are given on a rolling basis, meaning we will continue to send offers to eligible students on a weekly basis."

Success! Got into Humber Second Entry :)

alianne - That's very promising, ahh thank you! Best of luck to you :) and congrats Canucker2014!

Specializes in MAP Assistant - Bridgepoint.

Congrats to all of you getting in!

I applied to 8 different programs haha because last year i got rejected, and i really want to get in. I applied to Trent, Ryerson, George Brown, Centennial, Georgian, Seneca, Loyalist, Mohawk!

TRENT is my top choice by far!

My CGPA is 2.43

My GPA for my last 10 courses is 3.05.

& my high school average is 85%

I know my chances are slim, but did anyone have success with a gpa around 3.05! Thanks and good luck to all of you :)

@jlouro- are you internal or external regarding York? What was your GPA, CGPA- if you dont mind sharing!

I just want to let you know, internal applicants for York don't receive acceptances before mid/late May.

Hey Canuker 2014 just wondering what your GPA was for the last 60 credit hours for your application for Humber? I figured mine to be 3.6 and haven't heard from them yet.

Mine was hard to calculate, because it was between two degrees. I figured it was around 3.6 or 3.7. So you should be fine.

Thanks!!! Finger cross I hear from them soon. Congrats on getting in!
