I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

And a little over 170 got accepted our year!
Oh wow!! So they haven't changed that since 2016 ... LOL I was hoping they might have increased the class size according to demand but I guess not. ? Thank you for dropping in to answer questions as well! ?
Congrats to everyone who's received an acceptance and to those waiting, I'm rooting for you all! I'm in my first year of nursing at uoft and I thought I'd drop in to wish you all luck as the first round of acceptances come out this week! I'm not sure if someone's already mentioned it, but traditionally uoft acceptances continue to be sent out on a weekly basis on Fridays!
Best of luck to all of you and as hard as it is, I hope you're able to distract yourselves in the meantime!! and if you have any questions about the program, I'd be happy to answer them ?

Heyy, not really,
I work at Sinai as clinical assistant, yes, lot of nurses are from UfT but I don't think that's the case, working with lot of nurses who graduated from different colleges and universities.

I’d have to agree with the person above me!
This was something I also heard when entering the program, but I can’t say for sure if hospitals intentionally hire more nurses from uoft, as I’ve also met many nurses with different backgrounds!
I can’t speak for other programs, but you really do get a lot of experiences at the downtown Toronto hospitals (like Mt Sinai, Toronto General, St Michaels, Sick Kids) right from the start at uoft! Even with the pandemic, we were still able to start clinicals in September. So I’m sure being in the program can at least help you get your foot in the door and get a good idea of the culture at these hospitals!

congrats! If you go on the trent portal it says that the conditions are at the bottom of the acceptance letter, I'm assuming its the one they send in the mail cause there was nothing on the email

Yay congrats!! I think it would probably be in a mailed letter, my portal doesn't say anything. Also, can you see your offer on OUAC or on your Trent portal yet? I don't see anything on mine :/

Thanks! There's an offer on my Trent portal, under Academics --> Admissions Status. But nothing yet on OUAC, I think that typically takes a couple days to update ?

I received an acceptance email from Trent a couple of weeks ago! The conditions of my offer were just to complete any prerequisites and maintain a 70 average. I also had 3 weeks to accept the offer!
