Anyone applying to NP school in Ontario for the year 2025?
Would love to have a discussion started for acceptances, etc.

Congrats! That's a tough decision to make. Full scholarship would help ease any financial stress so you can focus on the program instead of working full time. I'm sticking with UofT because of the online nature. I believe at York, you have to go in person every 2 weeks. Correct me if I'm wrong.

for the MN NP, it looks like 34k

That's for both years?

That is amazing! As much as we like to think it makes a difference the prestige of a university does not make significant differences. I have known people who have done both NP programs and both working successful jobs. Additionally, I have known multiple MDs that have gone to various medical schools and now all work in the same place doing the same job! There are incentives though if you choose to practice in a northern ontario community that you would get loan forgiveness. However, it is a professional program that has mandates as per the CNO so both programs will not vary significantly in course material.

The only thing I'm thinking is that UofT is offering the single emphasis NP and York is still the PHCNP. I am wondering if in the future, the PHCNP will begin to limit me to only primary care if they decide to change all NP programs to single emphasis in the future.

Does York University only offer in person classes? I thought the classes were online.
