Dear Progress,
i am sorry I havent been able to help. The nurse I was asking advice from had a death in her family and had to go back to SA quickly and I do not know whne she will return. I hope there are others who can answer your questions and I wish you lots of luck

Try contacting some of the hospitals that you would be interested in working in. They are usually quite helpful in getting you help with your requests.

ONP...An adaptation placement is being entertained in one of the nursing homes here in Stafford -- for a certain price.. That is, the overseas nurse shld pay 2000 bux, deductuble from his salary in 4-6 months once he got his pin number... I wonder if the government is aware of this and shld this be allowed at all? I am not sure of the other nursing home but definitely Im sure, this nursing home has been doing this adaptation placement for a (whew!!) price, for a awhile...

I read on the ONP website that charging for these placements is not an approved practice and the NMC is seeking to stop it. You should report this institution to them for their information in case they are not already aware.

Dear friends
I was trained as a RMN in the UK but have not been in practice for a while. I am a Malaysian living and working in Singapore. I am also looking for a hospital in the UK that could accept me to do a 'return to practice' course . I would appreciate it if someone could tell me which hospitals or NHS trusts that provide such such support to nurses who want to return to practice Thanks :)
