Thank you!! Gives me hope! Do you remember how many SATA and DAD you had? Ive read stories from people who got 85questions only that they have 20+ SATA. I didnt get that much.
The number of SATA questions you had is about as relevant as whether I had waffles for breakfast that morning. Both pieces of data are equally related to your exam :)
SATA is merely a format of question, like multiple choice, fill/blanks, drag/drop. Means zero.
The fact that you had the minimum number of questions means either you did very well or very poorly; given the kind of student you were/are, which scenario is more likely?
Now add that to the fact that abaout 91% of first-time testers pass....and it looks good!
I took my first NCLEX-PN last September and stop at 85 questions, after the test I was so worried because i think I only got less than 5 or 6 SATA. I do have drag and drop and most of the multiple choice questions are prioritization. After the test, I did the PVT but I didn't know that time that it's not working anymore. So I thought I failed After 2wks, I receive the result and I can't believe that I pass! When I opened the letter, I am looking for how to reapply again but I saw the word congratulations! :) So don't lose hope :) Good luck!
The only thing that doing the minimum number of questions is that your performance was sufficiently strong (good or bad) for the exam to stop at the minimum. The way the exam is set up to test is that you'll get harder and harder questions until you start getting wrong answers. If the algorithm is correctly done, you'll get 50% correct answers at some point. By a percentage measure, you'd fail. That's unimportant with this kind of test system. You're either above passing in all areas (pass) or you're not (fail). The only question is how many questions need to be asked for the computer to determine this. That can be minimum, maximum, or any number between.

I took nclex pn exam for the first time and computer shut down at 85 questions. I dont want to try the pvt. I only have like 8-10 SATA, 2 DAD and 2 drug computation. Is that a bad thing? Please tell me what you think. I always get 65% and above out of 100 questions during my review. I cant just believe Id stop at 85 questions. Im losing my hope.
