Excelsior College and Indiana State University are the only self-paced distance LVN to RN programs, and if you are located in California, they will not be accepted for licensure there.
The other entities you mentioned (e.g. The College Network, Chancellors) are not schools, nor are they authorized to grant nursing degrees. These are companies that sell test prep materials.
Thank you so much! I will be contacting those schools immediately
Excelsior also does not "meet" with anyone. Be wary of sales pitches or claims of affiliation: Excelsior College | Advisory
I'm definitely not going with excelsior
I think that you misunderstood Pixie. Excelsior IS the college and like most colleges, they don't "meet" with you and try to lure you into their program with sales pitches. The companies that are doing that are third party publishing companies who claim to provide degrees using the Excelsior name. These programs usually charge more than the school itself and lock you into a contract. If you are still interested in an online bridge program, contact the school directly and they will provide you with all of the info that you need (without the added pressure) to make an informed decision. Good luck!

I've already had several meetings with the college network, Excelsior, Chancellor and now some nursing prep course who all wants me to sign up to what appears to be set up to put me further in debt. I'm looking for an online open LVN to Rn program that would allow me to go at my own pace without putting me in a financial debt. Does anyone know a really good school that I can go to online?
