I have recently begun to look at pursuing my BSN at Chamberlain College of Nursing online. I understand that it is a CCNE accredited school however I still have some concerns about the way employers may look at an online degree.
I was hoping some of the more experienced nurses here could weigh in with their opinions and experiences. Is this going to be a money pit or is it a respected degree. It is after all a CCNE accredited school.
I would appreciate any input. Thank you.

I did Chamberlain for my RN to BSN...as did many of my colleagues. I'm now in an MSN program working towards my Ped NP at a major university.
I have no regrets using Chamberlain for my BSN.

One of our site moderators (LunahRN) earned an ASN/RN through Excelsior College's distance based program. She earned a BSN degree through Chamberlain's online program.
Apparently the military didn't think a degree from Chamberlain was a scam because she was accepted into the Army Nurse Corps with her BSN and is now an officer/nurse in the armed forces.

It's all about accreditation from what I gather. Since Chamberlain is accredited, places accept it.
Now whether or not it's a scam is another question...

Although I do not know anything about Chamberlain, my school also has an RN-BSN online program. Our school issued degrees with the school name - as a bachelors degree - and it does not specify whether it was an online program or not. As long as the school is accredited, I cannot imagine it would be a problem.

Generally, accredited online universities are well-regarded.
Good luck!

I have a BSN from SUNY Stonybrook. Program was all online. My degree merely says, "BSN".
I got into an online MSN/ANP program and am now doing the DNP the same way. No issues as long as the program is properly accredited.

I am currently enrolled at Chamberlain in the RN to BSN program.
It is not a scam and it is not looked down upon by employers because it is an online degree.
We are already nurses (in the RN to BSN program) so it isn't like we learned "nursing online".
