Hi all,
The school I was accepted to requires pathophysiology as a prerequisite and not as part of the nursing curriculum. They offer the option to take it online through them or through other places as well...I've taken many online classes before, including some sciences.
This class is a foundation for nursing, right? Would it be a bad idea to take it online? I want to take away as much as I can from it. However, if I do take it online, I have to move to the city of the school 3 months earlier than expected. That's an extra 3 months of loans to pay rent.
Any advice is appreciated!
I loved my online patho. My teacher was very engaging and the recordings of her lectures were great. Patho was the first prereq course where the instructor asks us to start thinking like a nurse. She had us using ADPIE (assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate) for each body system and that has translated beautifully to nursing classes.I guess my point is, it is more teacher driven than location. Good luck! I loved patho!
Mallorymug, could you share where you took patho online and who with? Would love to do the same! Thank you!

I took pathophysiology online with Margaret Bolton through College of Southern Maryland (community college, so less expensive than a four yr). I loved it. It was a really well done class, and she is an excellent teacher. I'd recommend it. Also the text is available as an ebook from Vitalsource if you're into that. I like 'searchable' texts.
