Online Organic Chemistry Question

Published

I have a question for those of you who may be able to help me. I have been conditionally accepted to the USUHS CRNA program located in Bethesda Maryland. However this conditional acceptance is contingent upon my completing an Organic Chemistry prior to 31 March 2010. They recommended that I take the chem class from the University of New England (On-Line). I have registered and I am about to start. Has anyone taken this course on-line and if so what should I expect? Is there anywhere else that I could take it? Any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED....thank you so much.......:crying2::crying2::crying2:

I am contemplating taking that course myself. Sorry I can't help you. From what I saw on the site, it seems that UNE is a good place for people to take these courses. But they are a little on the pricey side if you ask me.

Yea, I went on ahead and registered for the class, it cost $1290. I did receive my books and lab materials within 5 business days.....and so my journey begins, wish me luck.

I am getting ready to take final exam in online UNE Organic chem. I have B in class and have to maintain B for CRNA school. Is the final similar to the quizzes? Do you remember how many questions are on the final. Is there any sort of curve in the class?

Thanks!

Fo you know if there is any curve in the UNE organic chem class?

I am thinking about signing up for that class. I've taken a chem/organic chem/biochem combination online class that was very doable and made a B in it with little effort. I'm thinking of taking this class to make my application even stronger and to keep my skills fresh since I'm putting of applying for school for another year. Would you recommend this class?... I know it's a lot of money to throw around but when it comes to CRNA it seems you need to spend money to be competitive. Let me know how your final goes.

Its a LOT of work and time. I've heard other online classes are easier but I like that's its self paced and the professor is quick to respond ot emails and questions. I'll let you know how final goes

Hi everyone! I was just wondering how the final went and what to expect? I feel like I understand the chapters until I go to take the quizzes, then I'm completely lost. I have to take the final within the next few weeks, I am even more terrified now because I had a friend I met through the course that just failed the final and the course since the curve was only five points! How should I go about studying to ensure this doesn't happen to me? This course cost me so much money and if I fail it, I will be graduating an entire year late!

In another thread mentioning this topic recently, one of the posts mentioned the name/site link of a tutor that they recommended. Perhaps you could hook up with that tutor for a rescue mission. Good luck.
