Hey all!

Now that the application deadline has passed, I feel comfortable finally starting a post. Just curious to hear who else applied to this program. It's fascinating to me to hear about people's different experiences, stats, expectations, etc. I'm also wondering what other programs people might've applied to? I got my submission in for the Portland ABSN to FNP/DNP program as well.

Hello! I applied to the absn program this year as well! I was put on the alternate list last year under the "somewhat likely" so hopefully I make it higher on the list or hopefully accepted. This will be my 4th application cycle. Between now and last year I've graduated with my bachelors in exercise science and now I work at a L1 trauma center in an icu step down unit as a cna.

Ohsu does a point system and the margins are super slim. My guess is you have to apply multiple times to be competitive. And have amazing experience and grades

Interviews are the 1st and 2nd of March (for the Portland campus anyways) and they don't appear to let people know about interviews until a week or so beforehand. I would assume we will be hearing back about a month from now.

Thanks! That's what previous year threads seemed to suggest, but I'm startled because when I called the school after turning in the application, they said something about the end of this month... I'm so nervous!!

Wait woah... Did they just generally mention this month in some context you might not necessarily remember, or did they mention the end of the month in regards to hearing about interviews? Because you're right, that is a whole different ballgame if that's what happened.

I had an interview for the ABSN to PNP program the other day and the representative from the ABSN program said that interviews for that one would be in late Feb or early March.

Late February or early March for invitations to interview, or the interviews themselves? The dates are online and are the first two days of March, so just trying to clarify.

The representative said late February, but she wasn't 100% sure because she couldn't remember the dates listed on the website. So, I assume the ones on the website (early March) will be the actual interview dates.
