MDC Nursing Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for applicants of the nursing program at Miami Dade College for Fall term 2017. I'm currently working on my last prerequisites and will be finished this semester. I plan on taking the HESI A2 in January and applying for the Generic and Part time tracks.

These were the class average scores during the time I took my HESI:

Anatomy & Physiology 68

Biology 67

Chemistry 70

Vocabulary 78

Grammar 76

Read Comprehension 78

Math 75

Hello everyone. I am currently half way through my first semester. If anyone has any questions about the school or the program I would be glad to help you guys out.

Experiences so far? Like difficulties and the environment. Also, how are the professors?

So far everything has been going good. The program keeps you busy but it is not impossible. Most of the teachers I have I can tell are really freaking good. They are very helpful but they do expect you to study. They will only hold your hand for so long.

As far as the schedule go, I have school every day except Thursday. On Monday I have to be at school pretty much the whole day. On Friday I have clinicals and I have to stay at the nursing home the whole day. Tuesday and Wednesday I only have school for a couple of hours.

Hey guys, I finally applied to both generic and part-time. I have a science GPA of 3.8 and scored an 85 on the HESI. Good luck to everyone taking the test this month ! :)

Does anybody know the schedule of the part time option? Are the clinicals on Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm? Or it ends before 4 pm?

Clinicals on weekdays end at 3 pm but most teachers actually let you go home before that. But it depends on the professor

hey guys i plan on applying for generic full time my science gpa as of right now is 3.3 not very high but i plan on taking the test this month and hopefully getting a high score.

Think positive and good luck studying hope to see most of you guys this fall

for anyone applying to MDC for nursing who goes to another school do they know if you have to go through the long process of applying at MDC to be able to apply to the program?

3.3 GPA is fine as long as you get like around an 85 on the HESI

i hope i get around that, im going to start studying from tomorrow.
