University of South Alabama does not and also requires that half of your hours be completed with a psych NP. This requirement is not negotiable. If you live in a rural area with no psych NPs available, or in a state that does not allow NP independent practice it is terribly difficult to find a preceptor.
I live in NV so NPs can be independent and practice. My main concern is being able to find them and take classes on time. From what I can tell basically none of the schools offer much if any help locating preceptors, even if the program is brick and mortar. I found a few websites that charge a few like $15 per hour required and they will find a preceptor for someone, so that is my last resort option. Now I just need to narrow down the decision to a few schools and start applying.

So I'm looking to apply for some NP programs for next year. Probably PMHNP programs. The city I live in does not have any PMHNP programs so I'm going to have to pick an online program. My biggest concern is the clinical placement for the online programs. Do any of the schools help with clinical placement or actually have contacts?
Schools I'm currently looking at are:
University of Southern Alabama
Gonzaga
University of Southern Indiana
University of North Dakota
University of Eastern Kentucky
If anyone has experience with these schools or knows of a PMHNP program that has clinical placements and could tell me, I would greatly appreciate it.
