Hi everyone!! I am new here and would like to introduce myself. After graduating from college in 03' it took me all this time to decide upon my next educational path. Finally, I am confident in saying that I cannot wait to become a nurse practioner!
I have all my prereq's beside Microbiology and an wondering if anyone can recommend a good online class. I was told by many schools that a lab is not required but then again, some schools do indeed require. Has anyone has experience with that as well?
I found a class at ccconline in colorado but would have to pay out of state fees which are pretty steep.
Any regionally accredited online microbio's would be greatly appreciated! I live in New York and am wondering if any school in the state has an online class with lab?
Thanks and I look forward to being a member!

Good luck. I don't know if this will help, but science courses are discussed here: https://allnurses.com/forums/f125/online-science-courses-can-we-get-sticky-88965.html

I left you a message with your other posting about ccconline Microbiology.
You can also find a cheaper course of Microbiology with lab at http://www.edukan.org They are just like ccconline, but they are a group of community colleges in Kansas. Their Micro class is a hybrid class, though. You either have to come to campus twice during the semester for lab OR find a cooperating lab in your area (IE, a college lab, high school lab, hospital lab, etc).
Good luck to you.
