  1. Hi Sammi! Congrats!!! How are job opportunities looking for you? What would you say (on average) was the amount of time you spent per week (class, clinicals, studying)...I know this program is super full-time, so I am just curious as to the average amount of time needed! I will probably be working part-time so am trying to get ready! How was the first semester? Thse most challenging? Thanks!
  2. The only prereq I did was the Microbio and it was great!!!!! I defintely recommend it. I took the accelerated 10 wk course so it was a lot of work but it is over now! I will check out the forum at NYU. I love to hear from people that have been in the program and can give feedback. I just am waiting to hear about the financial aide package!
  3. Ah San Diego! I love it out there. As much as I love NY, I really miss Ca!! So are you excited to come back to the East Coast? I live in downtown, in the financial district. I am thinking of moving possibly...but, I definitely want to stay in the city and it is super expensive. When are you moving?
  4. Great! I will see you there! Where do you live?
  5. Hi WestEastCoastNurse2b, Where are you from? I am originally from Los Angeles and am now living in NY, getting ready to begin the NYU program!
  6. Hi Jen, So did you hear back? Good news?
  7. Hi everyone!!!! I know there have been a few previous posts regarding the NYU program but I am wondering if there is anyone out there attending this program in fall? I just received my acceptance letter and need to send a deposit within 2 weeks...I am a bit confused as my packet states Summer 2007 when I initially thought this program began in fall...Well, I am super excited and just want to talk to others...I still have no idea about my financial aide package so am a bit worried... Is anyone planning to live around campus? I live in the downtown area currently but was thinking to maybe apply for off-campus housing as I am searching for a new apartment... Good luck to everyone attending this program! Can't wait to speak with others.
  8. Hi BSNin2008, So you are taking a 6 week leave? How did you work with clinicals and all?? That must be so overwhelming. How many hours were you working? Do you think it is basically better to not work at all? Thanks!
  9. I actually had all my prereq's completed...micro was the last and I just finished! Thank God! I have no idea why it states summer 2007...I am so confused! So you were super excited at first?? Why do you think it has died down? I wish I knew all the details because I feel like this letter is so last minute and I have no time to prepare.
  10. yes, that is many applicants! I was worried also as that letter took so long!!! Are you going to be attending??
  11. Wow so it seems that everyone is getting decent financial aide packages for NYU?? I can't wait to see!
  12. Hi all!! I have been accepted also! So no one has heard about financial aide? I am so confused! When do we find out?? Why do we have to send in a deposit before inquiring about that info? That isn't too fair...
  13. Hi Wannabe, Thanks for all that info regarding NYU! I just got accepted and it is great to hear from others. Roughly, how many hours a week do you think this program is? Is it pretty impossible to work? I am a bit apprehensive about the clinicals being super far. Do you know what factors that depends on? Also, do you live on campus?? Sorry for 21 questions! Thanks!
  14. Hello! I just got my acceptance letter and the program says it begin in Summer? I thought it was September so I am a bit confused. I was praying for this letter but in the Midst got a great jop opportunity...I wish I could defer my acceptance for a semester....so I am waying my options now but will mostt liekly go with it! I am excited! So you will be taking your prereq's?
  15. Oh! More more question...do you have any information on the second session with it being only 10 weeks??
