I need an online microbiology class this fall. I tried CCC online but they will not waive the general bio pre-req for me. I took Chem I and A & P I already, and will be in A & P II this fall, so need a course with no pre-req, or A & P I as sufficient. Any ideas?
The other option is to take the Excelsior Exam. I have the text and workbook already, but wondered if the course guide they sell is helpful.

The course guide should be free. Get a MyEC ID, so you can print one out on your computer, or you can request one to be mailed to you.

If you take the EC Microbiology, get the free content guide and study that to a T. The guide is very accurate to what you will be tested on.
Good luck to you!
I have the free guide from the school, but they also sell one for about $20 at the bookstore. Has anyone bought that one and is it helpful? Thanks.

In my opinion that study guide is not needed. It basically breaks down the study guide for you and tells you what you need to read in the book, what pages to color in coloring book, and what to do in the study guide for each area of the exam. Think of it as an assignment book of sorts. You can easily figure out what you need to read for each area on the FREE study guide just by looking in the table of contents of all your books.
