Does anyone know of an online college that offers RN courses to go from LPN to RN. There seems to be several that offer LPN to BSN (Phoenix, Walden) but the only one I see doing LPN to RN is Excelsior. But I have seen enough and spoken to enough students to steer clear of their dreaded clinicals-which you take at the end of at least 8 tests and have an extremely high failure rate.
So LPN to RN online-not Excelsior??

Plenty of people pass the clinical exam at the end -- I did, on my first attempt. The pass rate is around 60%, but I'm not sure how current that statistic is. However, I only recommend EC for those who have no other means to attain their RN because passing the clinical exam isn't guaranteed. You might visit the EC forum before ruling it out if you can't find another program -- Excelsior College Online Nursing Degrees. Good luck!! :)

If you are planning to work in CA, don't do Excelsior's program as CA will not license you as a RN either initially or via endorsement.
In addition, I think the CA BRN is also taking issue with the LVN-BSN program of Indiana State University...I'm not sure about the details with that though.
