Hello y'all! I am currently residing in a remote part of Alaska and I am trying to find an online program that will help me take the next step from LPN to RN. We do have an in-state program in Anchorage but since it requires a lot of campus visits I would need to move and I am unable to afford that at this time. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Indiana State or Excelsior are probably your best bets. With Indiana, I believe that you have to arrange local clinicals. With Excelsior, you have to plan on waiting a year for your final test (they do this in place of clinicals) and traveling to the lower 48 somewhere to complete that several-day exam. You will need to check with both to see if your state will take them and if they have any other clinical hours you will need to do on your own for licensure. They have threads in this student section for both schools. Good luck! I'm planning on attending Excelsior myself due to my remote location.

International College of Health Sciences(www.ichs.edu) offers distance learning RN(ASN, BSN) and FNP programs. The school is located in Florida(Boynton Beach area). Prerequisites may be transferred in from other schools, CLEP or completed within the program. Nursing Theory coursework may be completed remotely. Clinical training is done in Florida and may be completed in blocks throughout or as a cluster at the end of the program. The school is accredited and the degrees are accepted nationwide for licensure.

Do you know if the program gives credit for or has a pathway for already having your LPN?
Yes, they do. The 22 month ASN program takes approximately 12 months for an LPN transitioning to RN.

Thank you! I will definitely reach out to them for more info.

Accredited by whom? Regional and CCNE or ACEN? Those are the only types of accreditation that really matter in nursing, especially when it comes to furthering one's education.
International College of Health Sciences is accredited with ACEN(Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing), ACCSC(Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges), CAAHEP(Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs), licensed with Florida Department of Education, BBB(Better Business Bureau) accredited and the school is approved as an NC-SARA(National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements) institution offering distance education courses and programs

Aha, found it. According to their own site, they are ACEN candidates, not quite ACEN accredited:
