As a prerequisite for my graduate admissions I am electing to take an on-line probability and statistics course over the summer. I am taking it through Lakeland College at http://www.lakeland.edu.
My advisor actually referred me to the course as a convienent way to work full time, go to school, and get the stats course out of the way before Fall 2002.
I hope this helps.

Hello Micki,
I received my Associates and BSN via traditional on-site educational institutions. I am currently pursuing my MSN with a major in Clinical Information Systems Management via on-line distance education at Excelsior College
http://www.excelsior.edu/msn_desc.htm
Excelsier also offers an on-line BSN degree and Healthcare Informatics Certificate
The University of Colorado Health Sciences
offers a distance education (MSN)

Distance Education Pros: Independece; flexible schedule as I can study and access the classroom site anytime via the Internet.
Support is only a phone call, bulletin board posting or e-mail away.
Distance Education Cons: You have to be really disciplined and organized to meet paper and assignment submission deadlines.
Double the amount of reading/research required than in traditional classroom settings. You would be amazed at all the amount of content instructors can fit in with the use of hyperlinks upon hyperlinks!
Make sure the school and its programs are accredited!
If you have other questions please feel free to contact me.

The University of Wyoming has online education; there is a complete online program through them for the MSN in Nurse Educator. Here is the starter website;
