My MD wrote me a prescription for TED hose so I would not have to pay out of pocket, but I cannot find a pharmacy that can fill the prescription. None of the DME pharmacies that process insurance claims seem to carry hose, and the usual places I buy them do not process insurance claims.
Any recommendations?

Buy them out of pocket and file yourself? They can't be very expensive.

They're really not that expensive. You can get them on Amazon for fairly cheap. Our local Medical Supply store will process the prescriptions but for a lot of patients their copay is almost the same cost as just ordering from Amazon. (Just because you have insurance doesn't mean it will be no cost to you and if you have a deductible you typically have to meet that first with most plans)

I have paid for services myself and then submitted a claim using the form provided by the insurance source. Not very difficult at all. Just have to make a copy of the receipt and send it in with the form.
Thanks. It didn't occur to me to file the claim myself.
