Online Anatomy & Physiology?? (accredited!)

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am wondering if anyone knows of any online Anatomy & Physiology courses that include a lab?? IF SO, what kind of lab? Do you have to do dissections in your home? Did you have to have the tests proctored? I was hoping to find a school in Illinois or Wisconsin, but anywhere is great! Thank you!

I just looked into the courses at NMJC and the price per course is AMAZING. I need A&P I, A&P II, and Microbiology. The A&P I course says it is for nursing students, pre-professionals, or by instructor permission. Did anyone who is enrolled at NMJC have any trouble enrolling in the courses you need due to this?

Thank you!

Are there any accredited colleges that offer A&P I and II, and Lab online?

I'm taking A&P I at New Mexico Junior College. It's all online, including lab. The course I'm taking is 8 weeks. It's a lot of work. I currently have an A almost 4 weeks into the course, but I'm fighting for it. NMJC is inexpensive and the admin staff was really helpful with registering me.

I'm looking at NMJC. Would you say that the class is do-able with a full time job? I plan on taking the 2 month version of A&P II over the summer and it makes me nervous. I need at least a B for my program. Do you think that's do-able? How are you finding the labs/

I took my A&P courses online through Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA. The exams and lab practicals were all online. I finished those courses with a B while taking other classes and working full time. I felt as though every spare waking moment was dedicated to studying for A&P, but it was completely doable. The key is to always stay on top of the material! Procrastination is one's worst enemy when it comes to A&P.

I work full time. I'm 4 weeks into the program and I have a 95%. However, I'm working my butt off for that grade. It is A LOT of work. The most important thing is to stay organized about due dates. The labs have not been difficult up until this point. They're time consuming, but not super hard. This week we have a pig foot dissection due, so I think it will be the most challenging lab yet. I was able to rent my book on Amazon and purchase my lab workbook through them too. The workbook is expensive and so cheaply made! It's not even bound and the pages rip really easily. Very annoying!

Anyway, good luck! I'm happy to answer any other questions that you have about NMJC. :)

Thank you for this I am looking in to it. We move constantly (military) and I am so sick of never being able to in class work because we always end up having to move.

Has anyone tried Edukan for it's Anatomy & Physiology II (or a similar course)? Very interested in their 12 week course online.

Hey! I just enrolled, how is it going thus far?

How is the final administered since you don't live in NM?

So far, so good. I'm taking the final on Monday. They use a program called Respondus Lockdown browser for the final. It uses your web cam and mic to ensure that you work from memory only.

I won't lie, the course is tough. The best advice I can give you is to make sure that you do all of the exercises in the lab workbook prior to taking the assessments. The majority of the information you'll need can be found there. Good luck!

Hi. Who was your professor for A&P1?sure. lol Was it a lot of "busy work"? Were the tests and final based off of quizzes? Are you taking part 2 through them or would you recommend it?

Hey there, I was thinking about taking my sciences at NMJC online but I'm a little confused about a couple of things...

1.) when I look at the course details it says that you must also enroll in the lab course but I don't see those anywhere in the schedule of classes for distance learning. Is that a typo or am I looking in the wrong place?

2.) It also says that the final exam is proctored at a credible testing center but I thought you could take it at home via the lockdown browser software?

Thanks in advance. I'm currently an LVN student and want to do a bridge program once I'm done (I graduate in December). I could kick myself for not taking the right level prereqs in the first place because the classes here are so impacted that it's nearly impossible to get a seat. Oh well. Live and learn, right?
