I was a military spouse too and the only advice I give is to get into one school, stay there and get your clinicals done in one location. The military is only moving folks every 3-4 years nowadays (not like all the 1-2 year rotations we used to have - ugh), so I would advise taking the three P's now and then when you PCS get your clinicals done in one location.

I am currently an active duty Navy Nurse. I have 2 year orders but thats because i'm stationed on a ship. Yes the norm is now 3-4 year orders. The problem you will face is that alot of states have restrictions for online schools and allowing you to complete clinicals in that state. For instance, North Carolina will only allow clinicals to be completed in that state if you are attending a very short list of approved online schools (Capella happens to be one of them i think). If you have an idea where youre spouse will be stationed next it would be beneficial to research that state's board of nursing to see if the program you choose is approved in that state.

thank u! yes..thats one of my worries about starting before we move..i have to make sure they are accredited in the state that we are moving to..and i think i just have to wait for his orders just to make sure that is where we are moving..thank u again!
