Online ADN or BSN for Texans

Hello Everyone,

I believe there has been a thread before about the Del Mar/TAMUCC nursing programs. I wanted to remind anyone applying or thinking about applying to nursing school about these programs. Here is the link:

http://www.eline.tamucc.edu

All of the coursework is online. The clinicals have to be done in a hospital and the school will set up the site for you.

I am in my first semester (junior nursing student) and it has been a great opportunity for me. I am able to earn my BSN while working full-time. The program requirements are the same as on-campus students, so this is by no means the easy way out. It requires alot of discipline and dedication!!!

I just want to make sure people are aware of the programs. You can do the ADN or BSN route.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Did you have to take calculus? I remember looking into this program and thinking "OH MY CALC".!!!!!!

You do for the BSN program, but I don't think the ADN program has that requirement. I already have a BS degree so I just transferred the credits.

Where are you getting your BSN from?

Does the program run all year long?

Do they offer nursing classes in the summer?

How competitive was it?

Was your clinical time sufficient? What hospital did you use?
