Times are tough in the DC area, but with ur experience and wanting to work in LTC your probably better off than many!! Lot are struggling to find work, but even more so for the new grads. I graduated May 2009 with my ADN's and i know some that still do not have work! How hard are they looking for work, i don't know, lol but I know many of the do NOT want to work LTC. I give you props, thats a hard line of work! I bet it can be very rewarding as you probably develop a close bond with many of ur pts, but I bet it's difficult seeing them in some of their conditions! I praised the staff that looked after my grandmothers that had Alzheimer's! Good luck!

OK, one more question about nursing in Virginia.
I have an associate's degree in nursing and a few RN licenses from various states. I can qualify for a nursing license as an RN in Virginia, right?
Will I have trouble getting hired with an associate's degree? I want to work in LTC/SNF, not a hospital.
Well, I guess that was two questions...
Thanks.
