how do i get someone to answer my question

Are you referring to the question you posted in another thread?

The most likely reason that no one has answered your question is that those who have read it don't know the answer.

Just give it some time. The people who do know the answer to your question may not have seen it yet. Many of the members of this board only log on here once every day or so.

Check back in a few hours or perhaps tomorrow. If anybody has info that will shed light on your question, they will eventually respond.

Sadly, I am not one of the members who knows the answer.

Good luck!

One helpful hint: Make sure your question has a good title. So many threads are titled 'Question' or 'Please Read' and those don't really catch a lot of attention. If people are looking at a list of all the posts from the last 24 hours, they're likely to skip over those.

Say your question is about pulmonary edema. If your title is 'Question re: Pulmonary Edema', it's going to get the attention of any nurse or nursing student who has interest/knowledge in that area.

Good luck!

Yes, you definitely need to have a little patience, especially with that type of question. The other posters were on target, it takes time for the right people to see your message that have an answer for you. Titles are also important too. Also, the boards are fairly fast paced and your message can get shifted to the bottom or on another page pretty quick. If that happens, just bump it back up to the top. I took a look at your question and wish I had an answer for you...unfortunately, the cell biology portion of AP was not my strong suit. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Another thing that may improve your chances of getting a good response is to carefully choose the title of your post. I noticed most of you threads are simply titled "help". A descriptive title will attract attention and categorize your need. For instance, instead of "Help", try the title, "General Biology: Questions about cellular transport".
