Saw the same recently on nonverbal, end stage altzheimers with debility and dehydration. Couldn't believe it.

I recently saw a similar order written for a dying, nearly comatose patient. It was also for a psych consult and the only person possibly needing the consult was the patient's daughter who wasn't coping very well. (Who would?)

I always liked it when the psychiatrist would visit in the LTC and would document having had conversations with residents who had not said a word in several years. Sure I know that they did, LOL.
