Has anyone ever done an on-line class for their CPR Certification? If so, what it hard?

Yes, I did one. No it is not hard - it is TOO easy...
HOWEVER!!!! Check with your school... My school would NOT accept ANY ONLINE PROGRAM AT ALL!!! It had to be an IN CLASS by the American Heart Association.
Most hospitals will not take an online one either... and after paying (WASTING) the money, I realized why... You don't really "learn" and last year there were some (major) changes made to the CPR (like it isn't a-b-c, it is b-c-a now).
Don't waste your money - that is all it is.

I know of a lot of places that accept online CPR class, the class portion is online and then you have to go and demonstrate the skills in person to pass.
I guess that was the difference, this was purely online... there was no hands on, at ALL! The "class" potion I could see doing online, and then doing skills as you say...
But, a lot of the online companies are just online - and you print out your card when you take the test (mine, LITERALLY, took 5 minutes!).

It's actually c-a-b now. Everything else is 100% correct.
Woops!!!
LOL!! You are correct, thank you!! My fingers got ahead of my thoughts...

Interesting, yea I wouldn't trust something like that.
A lot of he classes here locally that the hospitals and schools offer that say online, it's meaning the class portion. I have my renewal coming up and I was thinking of doing the online and testing out for the skills but I might have a job soon and they will pay for it so I am holding off a bit. I don't have to renew until end of August.
Thanks for your replies! I just received my acceptance letter and it states that I can do the book work online and then perform the skills on the day of my orientation. I called the school today and asked if a lot of students go this route and was told yes. She said last year they offered it online and the course work in person. She stated that hardly anyone did the course work in person and this year is 100% online except the skills.
Great!! As long as the school said it was ok... Here are some of the sites to look out for. These are the ones that will just kinda take your money (even though they say they are "acceptable."

Those are some of them... NONE of those were accepted at my school or the places I went to...
But - I found this one, it is AHA - so I guess this is the route you are going... Great! http://www.onlineaha.org/
I just had my class the other week. They were FABULOUS... it was recert, so they only kept us 2 hours! I was happy. Like I said, the BIGGEST change was C-A-B now (chest compressions is the MOST important to start ASAP).
Good luck :)
